About this role

Job Title: General Laborer - Concrete and Masonry ConstructionJob DescriptionJoin our team as a General Laborer, where you will perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects. This role involves preparing surfaces for concrete, shoveling concrete, and maintaining a clean job site. You will also handle materials, load and unload trucks, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Responsibilities • Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects. • Prepare surfaces for concrete and shovel concrete into construction areas. • Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the job site each day. • Handle and store materials appropriately. • Load and unload trucks, haul, and hoist materials. • Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures. Essential Skills • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction work. • Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions. • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule. • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. • Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance. • Forklift service and preventative maintenance. • Welding, cutting, and fabrication. • Hydraulics and pneumatics. • Industrial maintenance and equipment operation. • Blueprint reading and measuring with tape measures. • Nice-to-have skills: Diesel engine repair, basic electrical troubleshooting (120V/240V), concrete or precast manufacturing experience, woodworking/carpentry, loader, skid steer, or backhoe maintenance, MIG or stick welding experience. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
