Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on building and assembling PODs that hold inventory on a robotics floor within a busy warehouse environment. You work as part of a team to meet production targets, performing repetitive lifting, pulling, and pushing while using hand and power tools. The position requires comfort with heavy lifting and working in a loud, fast-paced setting, while maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy work area in compliance with company policies and procedures.Responsibilities
• Build and assemble PODs that hold inventory on the robotics floor according to established specifications and production goals. • Construct and assemble metal workstations and inventory shelving units using appropriate hand and power tools. • Work as part of a team to complete a targeted number of PODs within specific timeframes. • Perform repetitive tasks that include lifting, pulling, pushing, and positioning materials and equipment. • Use tools such as hammers, rivet guns, pallet jacks, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively. • Read and interpret tape measurements to ensure accurate assembly and construction. • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment and follow all company policies and procedures. • Adhere to safety guidelines and remain safety conscious at all times in a loud and fast-paced warehouse setting. • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability by arriving on time and completing assigned tasks as scheduled. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address issues, improve processes, and meet production targets. Essential Skills
• Experience performing general labor tasks in construction, production, or assembly environments. • Hands-on experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks. • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure for assembly and construction work. • Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to approximately 4550 pounds on a repetitive basis. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment. • Comfort working in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic setting. • Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety procedures and company policies. • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in commercial construction and assembly is highly beneficial. • Experience in carpentry or related trades that involve building and assembling structures. • Previous work in production or warehouse environments with inventory handling or shelving assembly. • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. • Willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. • Positive attitude and strong work ethic in a team-oriented environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mt. Juliet, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
