Job Title: General LabourerJob DescriptionThis role involves building and assembling PODs that hold inventory on a robotics floor within a busy, climate-controlled warehouse environment. You will carry out physically demanding tasks, including repetitive heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds, while working as part of a team to meet production targets within specific timeframes. The position requires maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy workspace and following all company policies and procedures.Responsibilities
• Build and assemble PODs, metal workstations, and inventory shelving units on the robotics floor according to specifications and quality standards. • Use hand and power tools, including hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks, safely and effectively during assembly tasks. • Perform repetitive lifting, pulling, and pushing of materials and equipment, handling weights of up to approximately 4550 pounds. • Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete a set number of PODs within defined timeframes in a fast-paced environment. • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work area and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. • Follow instructions, work to production schedules, and adapt to a loud and sometimes chaotic environment while staying focused on safety and quality. • Stand and walk for extended periods of time to support continuous production and assembly activities. • Handle materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage and support efficient warehouse operations. Essential Skills
• Experience in general labour work in construction, production, or assembly environments. • Commercial construction and assembly experience, particularly with metal workstations and shelving units. • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing up to approximately 4550 pounds. • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in a warehouse setting. • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, such as hammers, rivet guns, and pallet jacks. • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. • Strong focus on safety, with the ability to follow health and safety guidelines and company procedures. • Reliability and punctuality, with a consistent approach to attendance and timekeeping. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, loud environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in carpentry or related trades that involve measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. • Experience working in production or warehouse environments with inventory storage systems. • Comfort working in a loud, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic setting while maintaining attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organised work area. • Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members. • Positive, safety-conscious attitude and willingness to learn and follow established processes. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mt. Juliet, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
