Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Installation Technician is responsible for transforming new vehicles into innovative solutions for various markets, focusing on high-quality workmanship. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, ambitious, and a team player. Responsibilities • Assemble truck bodies, route and install wire harnesses, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, ladder racks, shelving, wall liners, and floors. • Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles. • Uphold quality levels required by the company and customers. • Record and maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and contribute ideas to the company. • Record project times with expected levels of accuracy using pictures and/or project-specific information for standard work creation. • Work will involve frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling. Essential Skills • 1 year Automotive Technician experience • Autobody experience • Experience working with automotive mechanical systems • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Experience working with automotive electrical systems • Ability to read drawings, including electrical schematics, layout drawings, and work orders with limited help • 1 year Aftermarket add-on/Upfitting experience required Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with assembly, hand tools, mechanical assembly, power tools, general labor, electrical, schematic, and wiring. • Some overtime may be required. Work EnvironmentThe work environment has an automotive background in a new, clean, and organized facility, similar to a setting for an oil change without the floor cut out. Long driveways/alleys with vans are parked back to back with the back doors open for installations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rosemount, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
