About this role

Job Title: Machinist / Production Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on production maintenance for dielectric equipment and CNC machinery in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The machinist supports ongoing operations by performing mechanical maintenance, fabrication, and assembly tasks to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.Responsibilities

• Perform production maintenance on dielectric equipment and CNC machines to ensure reliable and efficient operation. • Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing equipment. • Use tape measures and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required specifications. • Carry out fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and preparing materials for machining and assembly. • Assemble machine components and related parts according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. • Operate CNC and manual machining equipment as needed to support production and maintenance activities. • Collaborate with leads and team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize equipment downtime. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in a climate-controlled facility. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and adjustments to support continuous improvement and equipment reliability. • Participate in training and skill development opportunities to expand machining and maintenance capabilities. Essential Skills

• Experience as a maintenance technician in a production or manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience with CNC machinery, including basic operation and maintenance. • Ability to perform mechanical maintenance and repair tasks on production equipment. • Proficiency using tape measures and other basic measuring tools with strong attention to detail. • Background in fabrication, including working with metal and other materials in a shop setting. • Ability to perform assembly work following instructions, drawings, or specifications. • Comfort working with both CNC and manual machining processes. • Strong safety awareness and ability to follow established procedures and guidelines. • Effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with leads and colleagues. • Interest in learning and expanding skills in CNC and manual machining. • Ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies, including modern CNC machines and saws. • Willingness to receive training from experienced leads and participate in ongoing development. • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing equipment issues. • Organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance and fabrication tasks in a fast-paced environment. Employees work on either 1st shift (5:30 a.m.2:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m.2:30 p.m.) or 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.11:00 p.m.) with a shift premium for second shift. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration, with access to new machinery and tools to support both production and maintenance activities. Dress code aligns with typical manufacturing and shop standards, prioritizing safety and practicality. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richfield, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
