Job Title: Distribution Center AssociateJob DescriptionThe Distribution Center Associate works in a busy warehouse environment supporting the flow of electrical products and industrial supplies. In this role, you handle a variety of tasks including pallet separation, material handling, wrapping pallets, shipping and receiving, and inventory replenishment during slower periods. As you gain product knowledge, you will have the opportunity to independently receive and pick orders and learn forklift operation through onsite training and certification.Responsibilities
• Separate pallets and materials accurately to support efficient order processing and inventory management. • Wrap pallets securely to prepare orders for safe shipment and transport. • Perform shipping and receiving activities, including checking in deliveries and preparing outbound shipments. • Use RF scanners to track inventory, confirm order accuracy, and maintain up-to-date warehouse records. • Replenish inventory in designated locations during downtime to ensure products are available for picking. • Develop product knowledge to support accurate receiving, picking, and packing of orders. • Independently receive and pick orders once adequately trained and familiar with products and processes. • Assist with packaging and shipping tasks to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time. • Lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds safely, following proper material-handling practices. • Participate in forklift training and certification when eligible, and operate forklifts safely once certified. • Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, procedures, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment. • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth distribution center operations. Essential Skills
• Previous warehouse experience, including exposure to general distribution center operations. • Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking, shipping, and receiving activities, or willingness to learn this technology. • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including handling incoming and outgoing materials and orders. • Capability to work with inventory, including counting, organizing, and replenishing stock. • Physical ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 pounds safely; heavier items are handled with appropriate equipment. • Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent material handling and movement. • Attention to detail when separating materials, wrapping pallets, and processing orders to reduce errors. • Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent performance in daily tasks. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Antioch, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
