Job Title: Order Picker OperatorJob DescriptionThis role involves operating a variety of forklifts to accurately pick, pack, and palletize plumbing and piping products in a busy warehouse environment. The Order Picker Operator uses RF scanners to locate and retrieve parts, prepares orders for shipment by boxing, labeling, and palletizing, and follows all safety procedures, including fall protection requirements. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a long-term position with strong benefits.Responsibilities

• Operate an order picker forklift to perform order-picking of plumbing and piping systems in a warehouse setting. • Use reach forklifts (such as Crown or Raymond models) to safely move, retrieve, and stage materials. • Navigate the warehouse using an RF scanner to locate, select, and confirm parts and products according to order requirements. • Lift, move, and handle items weighing up to 40 lbs as part of the order picking and material handling process. • Box picked items securely, apply appropriate labels and stickers, and prepare orders for shipment. • Palletize completed orders in an organized and stable manner to ensure safe transport and storage. • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of fall protection equipment and adherence to forklift operating standards. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area within the warehouse. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. • Demonstrate a positive attitude and cooperative approach while working with a small warehouse team. Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating an order picker forklift with valid third-party certification. • Current fall protection certification and ability to use fall protection equipment correctly. • Hands-on experience with reach forklifts, including models such as Crown or Raymond. • Ability to perform order picking tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. • Proficiency using RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify warehouse inventory. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, labeling, and palletizing of orders. • Reliable work ethic and consistently positive attitude in a warehouse environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts. • Experience in plumbing or pipe products and related warehouse operations. • Experience with packing, boxing, and labeling orders for shipment. • Comfort working in a small team environment with clear reporting lines. Daily work involves operating order picker and reach forklifts, using RF scanners, and handling plumbing and piping products in a typical industrial warehouse setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Edmonton, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.02 - $28.02/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
