Job Title: Heavy Assembler IJob DescriptionThe Heavy Assembler I works as part of a small team to build large industrial radiators and radiator components. This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, working at heights on ladders or scissor lifts, and operating overhead cranes to lift and move heavy materials. Assemblers contribute to multiple assembly areas and perform leak testing to ensure the final products meet quality and safety standards.Responsibilities
• Work in teams of 13 to assemble various parts and full industrial radiators according to specifications and blueprints. • Use hand tools and power tools to secure components and complete mechanical assembly tasks safely and accurately. • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly documentation to guide build processes. • Climb onto large industrial radiators using ladders or scissor lifts to perform assembly work at height. • Operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and move heavy parts and assemblies in a safe and controlled manner. • Perform leak tests on completed radiators and components to verify quality and performance. • Work across multiple assembly areas that focus on different parts or complete radiator units as production needs require. • Measure materials and components accurately using a tape measure to ensure proper fit and alignment. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in the assembly and fabrication shop, including proper use of tools and equipment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and support overall shop cleanliness. • Collaborate with the Assembly Supervisor and team members to meet production goals and timelines. • Support the build of industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers, including new product lines for data center applications. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of mechanical assembly experience. • At least 1 year of experience using power tools in an industrial or similar setting. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assembly. • Experience operating or working around overhead cranes. • Demonstrated work tenure of at least 18 months with one employer within the past 5 years. • Comfort working at heights using ladders or scissor lifts. • Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy materials as part of daily tasks. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, including leak testing and inspection. • Reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts and production requirements. • Mechanical assembly history in an industrial or fabrication environment. • Experience in an assembly and fabrication shop setting. • Familiarity with building or working on large-scale equipment such as industrial radiators. • Ability to work effectively in small teams and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers. • Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled environment that can be hot in the summer. • Willingness to learn and support new product lines, including radiators for data centers. • Strong safety mindset when using ladders, scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, and overhead cranes. Pay starting at $20/hr.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an assembly and fabrication shop that builds industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. The facility is clean and organized but not temperature controlled, so it can become hot during the summer months. Work is performed on 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The position reports to the Assembly Supervisor and involves regular use of hand and power tools, overhead cranes, ladders, and scissor lifts. Employees work around large radiator assemblies, some as big as a semi-trailer, in a production-focused environment with an increasing emphasis on radiators for data center applications. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of KENOSHA, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
