Description
Advanced Thermal Batteries (ATB) is seeking a Process Engineer to join their engineering team and support the manufacturing of thermal battery products used in highly regulated industries. This is a backfill position for a departing engineer, and the workload is currently being absorbed by other team members, creating an immediate need for additional support.
This individual will join a team of four Process Engineers, each responsible for a specific manufacturing area. The focus for this role is supporting the core battery assembly process, which involves a high level of manual assembly and production support. The engineer will work closely with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Battery Design Engineering, and Maintenance to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure new products can be successfully transitioned into production.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and enjoys spending significant time on the manufacturing floor solving problems and improving processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Effective written and verbal communication. Ability to collaborate with others. Excellent prioritization and time management skills. Proficient in solving engineering problems through analysis, computational modelling, and building/testing of prototypes. Experience with PLC or similar equipment programming Proficient in Microsoft Office CAD modelling a plus
QUALIFICATIONS Education: B.S. in Engineering in a field related to the Process being supported, typically Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Experience: 3-5 years in engineering or manufacturing environment. Six Sigma Certification and practical use a plus
