Chef de Partie (CDP) – Events & Banqueting Heaton House Farm – Stable Yard Catering 4 days per week | Variable shifts aligned to events (predominantly daytime with some evenings) 8am – 6:30pm, 11:30am – 10pm
Permanent | Full-time Heaton House Farm is a family-run events business, home to Stable Yard Catering, our onsite and external catering company. We are renowned for delivering exceptional weddings alongside charity events, corporate meetings and flagship company events, with catering provided both on-site and at venues across the region, all supported by a professional and friendly team. We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade and play a key role in delivering high-quality food across weddings, banqueting and external catering events.
What you’ll be doing Run your designated kitchen section during prep and service, ensuring smooth and efficient deliveryPrepare and cook consistently high-quality food for weddings, private events, corporate functions and external catering eventsSupport food production across both onsite and offsite operationsMaintain excellent standards of food presentation, consistency and portion controlEnsure all prep is completed to specification and within required timescalesWork closely with Sous Chefs and Head Chef to deliver smooth serviceAssist with stock rotation, storage and waste controlMaintain a clean, organised and efficient section at all timesFollow all food safety, hygiene, HACCP and allergen proceduresSupport setup, delivery and service at external catering events where requiredAssist in training and guiding junior chefs and kitchen assistantsContribute ideas to improve efficiency, presentation and the overall food offering About you Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step upConfident running a section in a busy kitchen environmentPassion for producing high-quality fresh food with strong attention to detailCalm under pressure and able to work efficiently during busy servicesStrong organisational skills and a positive, can-do attitudeGood understanding of food safety and allergen managementReliable, hardworking and a supportive team playerKeen to learn, develop and progress within a growing businessFull UK driving licence and access to transport due to our rural location Working pattern 4 days per weekShifts aligned to event schedules including a mix of daytime and evening workWeekends and bank holidays required as part of an events businessFlexibility essential to meet the demands of a busy events calendar What we offer A key role within a well-established and respected events venueOpportunity to develop within a growing kitchen brigadeExperience across weddings, banqueting and external catering eventsStrong support from an experienced and professional teamA positive, family-run working environmentCompany pension schemeChristmas Day off REF-228 041
