Consultant (Energy Storage)
LCP Delta are looking for a Consultant to join our Energy Storage team. This Germany-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to our growing presence in the German market while collaborating closely with colleagues across our wider European teams, including the UK modelling team and our colleagues based in in London, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Paris.
This role sits within LCP Delta’s Energy Storage team and will focus particularly on the German battery energy storage market. It is well suited to someone who enjoys combining analytical work with market insight and who wants to develop their expertise in storage, modelling and consulting in a fast-moving sector.
You will have the opportunity to work across both research and consultancy, contributing to market understanding, supporting modelling implementation, and helping deliver high-quality outputs to clients and subscribers.

Supporting market modelling activities, working closely with the UK modelling team to ensure alignment on key market drivers and fundamental assumptionsContributing to the implementation and ongoing development of our revenue forecasting platform STOREcastSupporting the delivery of German BESS research and consultancy projectsConducting quantitative and qualitative analysis on the German energy storage marketSupporting project delivery through data gathering, market analysis, modelling, research and insight developmentWorking with colleagues across the research, modelling and consultancy teams to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach to data, assumptions and outputsHelping to strengthen LCP Delta’s understanding of the German battery storage market, including regulatory, commercial and market developmentsProducing clear, insightful and high-quality content for internal and external use, including reports, presentations and client materialsSupporting discussions with clients, partners and industry stakeholdersContributing to the wider development of the team by providing support across priorities and helping create capacity for senior colleagues to focus on strategic research areas What skills, experience and qualities are we looking for?
Relevant BSc, MSc or PhD qualifications, or similar professional experienceExperience in the German energy sector, ideally with exposure to energy storage, power markets or flexibilityAn understanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and/or broader electricity market dynamicsStrong quantitative, analytical and research skillsExperience of working with data, models and structured analysisThe ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographiesGood organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex topics clearlyA proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support a range of team and project needsCommercial awareness and an understanding of how analysis can support client needsFluency in German and English, additional other languages would be advantageous LCP is committed to making our opportunities accessible to all and would welcome you getting in touch to let us know if an adjustment can be made to help with your application.
