We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Dayshift Cafe Utility to join our team in Balcatta, Australia. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient cafe environment. You will support our cafe operations by ensuring all areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while working collaboratively with our cafe staff to deliver an excellent customer experience.
This role is a Full Time position, working a fixed roster, weekdays Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 3.30pm performing the following duties:
Clean and sanitize all cafe areas, including dining spaces, kitchen areas, and restrooms, following established health and safety protocolsPerform dishwashing duties and maintain all cafe equipment in proper working conditionRestock supplies, including napkins, utensils, cups, and other cafe essentials throughout the dayRemove and dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental and health regulationsAssist with food preparation areas by maintaining cleanliness and organization standardsSupport cafe staff with general operational tasks to ensure smooth daily operationsMonitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report shortagesRespond promptly to spills and other maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment for customers and staffAdhere to all food safety and hygiene standards at all timesAssisting with ordering and replenishing cafe stock Proven experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment (preferred)Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standardsExcellent time management and organizational skillsPhysical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periodsKnowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (preferred)Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and suppliesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsReliability and punctualityFood handling certification or willingness to obtain one (preferred)Customer service orientation and professional demeanor Sodexo is a contract services company and employment is conditional to Sodexo’s ability to maintain the client contract and its service levels.
