About this role
We are seeking a reliable and organised General Service Assistant to join our team at our Catterick location. In this role, you will provide essential support to ensure our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of service, supporting various departments, and contributing to a positive working environment for all staff and visitors.
Carry out general cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the facility, ensuring all areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene • Provide administrative support to various departments, including filing, data entry, and general office assistanceAssist visitors and staff members with enquiries and direct them to appropriate departments or personnel • Maintain and manage equipment, tools, and supplies, reporting any faults or shortages promptly • Support the organisation of events, meetings, and facilities as required • Comply with all health and safety regulations and report any hazards or incidents immediatelyPerform routine inspections of facilities and complete associated documentation and reports • Assist with stock management and ordering of cleaning and general supplies • Respond to requests from staff members in a timely and professional manner • Contribute to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the facility Strong organisational and time keeping skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards • Reliable and punctual with a professional approach to work • Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to interact positively with staff and visitorsWillingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team • Basic IT skills and familiarity with office equipment (desirable) • Previous experience in general service, facilities management, or administrative support (preferred)Health and Safety awareness or willingness to undertake relevant training (desirable) • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and requirements At Aramark UK, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and empowered to thrive.
