About this role
What does it take to build a $10 billion brand from scratch? Show up. Solve problems. And care. Every product, customer, and decision matters, and always has to the people who built Skechers.
This is one of the great growth stories in consumer brand history. From a small Manhattan Beach startup in 1992 to the world's third-largest footwear brand, with 5,200+ stores and products in over 180 countries. Skechers has built its success on three core strengths: product innovation, supply chain excellence, and unmatched speed-to-market. In practice, that means we move fast here. From a first sketch to a store shelf in a fraction of the time it takes others. While much of the industry fights for single-digit growth, Skechers has delivered double digits, year after year. That kind of growth creates real opportunity. More stores opening, more markets, and more opportunities for people to grow.
Skechers is built on people who move fast, think big, and take ownership on a salesfloor, in a warehouse, and at headquarters alike. People who care deeply and act with purpose, wherever they show up to do it. If that's how you operate, we'd like to meet you.
About the Role Learning at Skechers is not a checkbox. It is how a company of this size and speed stays aligned and keeps growing. You will work on learning programs from planning through delivery, build content that reflects who Skechers is, facilitate sessions for real audiences. The work is varied by design. One week you are building an e-learning module. the next you are facilitating onboarding, and the week after that you are pulling evaluation data to sharpen a program. You will work closely with HR Business Partners and global L&D colleagues, which means strong communication and follow-through matter as much as design skills. If you want hands-on experience across the full learning lifecycle at a brand that invests in its people, this is the place to get it.
What You'll Do
• Own programs end to end. You will manage the full lifecycle of assigned learning programs, from planning and stakeholder alignment through content development, logistics, delivery, and post-program evaluation. Timelines are real, and on-time delivery is the baseline expectation. • Facilitate live learning experiences for diverse audiences across virtual and in-person settings, adapting your style and approach to meet different experience levels, roles, and delivery formats. Sessions should leave people more engaged and better equipped, not just checked off a list. • Build content that reflects the Skechers brand. You will develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, e-learning modules, and multimedia assets using tools including Articulate Rise and Canva. Every piece of content should feel on-brand, accurate, and worth a learner's time. • Manage the L&D calendar and program logistics week in and week out, coordinating scheduling, room or platform setup, communications, and materials across multiple programs running simultaneously. The operational details matter as much as the creative ones. • Administer and maintain the LMS. You will support the day-to-day management of the Workday LMS and other learning platforms, keeping content organized, accessible, and compliant with Skechers L&D standards to drive global consistency across every market. • Collaborate with global L&D partners and HR business partners to align learning solutions with organizational priorities, surface regional best practices, and keep programs current as the business evolves. This is not occasional alignment. It is a recurring part of how the work gets done. • Measure what matters. You will evaluate learning effectiveness through participation metrics, learner feedback, knowledge retention, and business impact indicators, then translate those findings into concrete improvements across the portfolio. • Support broader organizational development efforts including employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, and change management initiatives as needed, contributing wherever the team's goals require it.
What You'll Bring
• 3 or more years of experience in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a communications-focused discipline with a strong emphasis on written content and program delivery. You have owned learning programs before, not just supported them, and you know what it takes to take one from concept to execution without losing quality along the way. • Hands-on instructional design experience with tools like Articulate Rise and Canva. You can build an e-learning module, a facilitator guide, and a job aid in the same week and make all three feel intentional and on-brand. • Proven facilitation skills across virtual and in-person environments with diverse audiences. You read the room, adjust on the fly, and consistently create learning environments where people feel engaged and psychologically safe enough to actually participate. • Working knowledge of LMS platforms, with Workday LMS experience preferred. You understand how to organize, publish, and maintain content at scale so that learners anywhere in the world can find what they need without friction. • Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite and comfort navigating multiple platforms, tools, and communication channels simultaneously. You do not need hand-holding to figure out a new system. • The ability to manage competing priorities without dropping the ball. Multiple programs, multiple deadlines, multiple stakeholders. You stay organized, communicate proactively when something shifts, and maintain a high standard of quality even when the volume is high. • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Advanced credentials or certifications in instructional design or talent development are a strong plus.
