Position Summary The Inventory Analyst supports inventory planning, replenishment, and reporting activities by monitoring inventory performance, maintaining allocation parameters, analyzing SKU productivity, and providing actionable insights that ensure stores maintain appropriate inventory levels relative to business objectives and Minimum Presentation Levels (MPLs). This role is responsible for optimizing inventory performance through reporting, replenishment execution, inventory analysis, distribution center, and inventory lifecycle management while supporting store visits and field inventory reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain in-stock performance across store tiers, segments, and merchandise categories. • Prepare and maintain store inventory reports for field visits, highlighting in-stock performance against established MPL levels and identifying opportunities to improve inventory productivity. • Analyze variances between actual inventory and MPL requirements and recommend replenishment, redistribution, or inventory adjustments. • Manage in-stock reporting and maintenance activities. • Evaluate SKU performance by segment and recommend inventory actions. • Recommend order maintenance activities including push, pull, and add actions. • Review stock balances and Insignia recall activity and recommend corrective actions. • Maintain inventory allocation settings including store groups and IA minimums by SKU. • Submit and manage Touch Document DC requests. • Serve as the point of contact for distribution center order issues, working closely with vendors, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve receiving discrepancies. • Process and maintain RTV entries and vendor returns. • Provide stagnation report insights and recommendations to reduce aged inventory. • Develop recommendations for end-of-life inventory strategies. • Conduct recurring and ad hoc analysis to support inventory and merchandising decisions.
Required Qualifications:
• Inventory management, replenishment, allocation, planning, or supply chain experience. • Experience with Business Objects, Excel, or similar reporting tools. • Strong Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables. • Ability to learn and apply new concepts, systems, and processes. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently to resolve issues and identify solutions. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse teams. • Basic understanding of retail math, inventory control, and forecasting methods. • Proven experience performing ad hoc analysis and presenting actionable insights.
