The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida invites applications for an in-person, 12-month Postdoctoral Scholar position. The preferred start date is February 1, 2027, but the start date is flexible and negotiable. The salary range is $60,000–$65,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal for an additional year, contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding availability.
The successful candidate will work with the supervisor, Dr. Ying Wang, on designing and conducting research projects in chemistry education, analyzing the collected data, summarizing and disseminating the research results, and writing grant proposals to funding agencies. The candidate will also mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers in their research endeavors.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in the field of chemistry education or a related field. Candidates who are ABS (All But Dissertation) may be considered upon completing all degree requirements before the employment start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow. Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative research • Experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing surveys and interviews • Experience with publications in peer-reviewed discipline-based education journals How to Apply: When applying, please attach the following required materials:
