The Opportunity

Lead and grow a key strategic relationship with a major U.S. financial institution. As the senior point of accountability for the account, you will expand EXL's footprint, deepen executive relationships, and create new revenue opportunities through data management, analytics, AI, and technology-led transformation.

This is not a transactional sales role. It is an opportunity for a banking leader who can combine domain credibility, consultative account leadership, and commercial ownership to become a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders.

Why This Role Stands Out

• Own the growth agenda for a major strategic banking account with clear responsibility for revenue, pipeline, client satisfaction, and relationship expansion. • Shape high-impact solutions across consumer lending, credit risk, fraud, collections, customer analytics, data management, and AI. • Work alongside EXL's analytics, AI, technology delivery leaders to turn client priorities into differentiated proposals and business cases. • Engage directly with senior stakeholders across Risk, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and Finance. • Build long-term strategic value, not one-time transactions, while mentoring account talent and strengthening EXL's market presence.

What You Will Own Strategic Client Leadership

• Serve as EXL's primary senior point of contact and own the end-to-end relationship for a major banking account. • Develop and execute a multi-year account plan aligned with the client's data, analytics, technology, and operational priorities. • Build C-level and cross-functional relationships through purposeful executive interactions and a strong governance cadence. • Maintain a clear view of client satisfaction, delivery performance, renewal risk, and emerging priorities; address concerns proactively.

Growth, Pipeline & Commercial Ownership

• Own the account revenue target and actively manage a pipeline across analytics, data management, AI/ML, technology, and operations. • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across client buying centers and map EXL capabilities to specific business challenges. • Lead RFP responses, solution presentations, business cases, commercial negotiations, and contract renewals with full accountability for quality and outcomes. • Provide accurate pipeline reporting and account updates to EXL leadership while driving revenue growth, profitability, and client value.

Banking & Analytics Advisory

• Advise stakeholders across the consumer lending lifecycle, including acquisition, activation, usage, line management, retention, and attrition. • Bring an informed perspective on credit card and partnership program analytics, issuer economics, segmentation, and portfolio optimization. • Engage credibly on credit risk, fraud, disputes, collections, regulatory analytics, customer analytics, and data infrastructure. • Translate business priorities into relevant analytics and AI use cases, including propensity modeling, next-best action, lifetime value, fraud scoring, delinquency prediction, and digital engagement.

Data & Technology Opportunity Development

• Shape opportunities in data governance, data quality, cloud platform modernization, reporting infrastructure, and analytics engineering. • Partner with EXL solution teams to develop tailored proposals, proofs of concept, and transformation roadmaps. • Stay current on the client's technology landscape and data ecosystem to identify integration points and accelerate solution deployment.

Thought Leadership & Team Impact

• Represent EXL's banking, data, and analytics capabilities in executive meetings, client forums, and relevant industry engagements. • Contribute a practical point of view on consumer lending, analytics trends, and AI-led enterprise transformation. • Mentor account team members and support seamless collaboration across sales, solutions, and delivery teams.

What You Bring

• 10 -15 years of experience in consumer lending or financial services, with meaningful exposure to data management, analytics, or technology-led transformation. • Strong understanding of U.S. consumer lending, including co-branded or partnership programs, issuer economics, and portfolio lifecycle management. • Hands-on or advisory experience in customer acquisition, credit risk and scoring, behavioral analytics, fraud detection, collections, or campaign analytics. • Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, analytics engineering, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex business needs into compelling analytics and technology solution narratives. • Commercial strength across account planning, opportunity shaping, proposals, negotiations, revenue growth, and pipeline management. • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, problem-solving, and executive-influence skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with distributed cross-functional teams. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field preferred. • Based in the New York / New Jersey area and able to work onsite at the New York office three days per week. • Willingness to travel to client sites as required. The Ideal Candidate • You have built your career at the intersection of banking, client leadership, and data and analytics. You understand how financial institutions operate, how senior stakeholders make decisions, and where data, analytics, and AI can create measurable business advantage. You do not need to be a hands-on technologist, but you must be analytically credible, commercially driven, and confident leading both executive and technical conversations.
