Responsible for the independent collection, analysis, and interpretation of cyber threat intelligence. In this vital role, the analyst provides actionable assessments to technical and non-technical teams, bridging the gap between raw intelligence and operational security. Professionals regularly participate in intelligence sharing, contribute to internal and external reporting, and may lead small projects or research initiatives.

• Independently analyze and correlate threat data from diverse sources—internal logs, external intelligence feeds, law enforcement advisories, and security communities—to identify patterns and potential risks. • Produce comprehensive threat assessments, technical reports, and intelligence briefings tailored to audiences ranging from engineers to executive leadership. • Collaborate with incident response, vulnerability management, SOC, and IT teams to provide context for alerts, guide investigation priorities, and support mitigation efforts. • Detect and track trends in the cyber threat landscape, such as new ransomware strains, supply chain threats, or geopolitical developments impacting cyber risk. • Participate in threat intelligence sharing communities or Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) to exchange timely threat data and best practices. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

• 2+ years in a intelligence, cyber threat intelligence or information security role with experience working in cybersecurity tools, intelligence sources and threat intelligence platforms • Demonstrated proficiency in research methodologies, threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), and the MITRE ATT&CK framework. • Ability to analyze malware samples, network traffic, or logs using analytical tools (Wireshark, YARA, sandboxing, etc.) is preferred. • Ability to correlate IoCs to logs and alerts from a variety of different technologies, including IDS/IPS, firewall, proxies, and anti-virus across multiple platforms. • Proficiency in threat detection and analysis techniques. • Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills. • Clear, concise communication skills for both technical documentation and non-technical explanations. • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience. • Desired - GCTI, Sec+. Salary: $68,900 - $157,400 annual (Potential salary if hired by Navy Federal as a full-time employee: SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Navy Federal, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members)
