Description Do you want to join<strong> a fintech company </strong>where you can help build a scalable and transparent data environment? <br><br>Ohpen is looking for a<strong> Data Governance &amp; Data Management Engineer</strong> to join our <strong>Data team</strong>. <br><br>In this role, you will play a key role in improving how <strong>data is defined, managed, and governed </strong>across our platform, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders at our beautiful office in <strong>Amsterdam. </strong> Briefing <strong>Drive data governance and platform development: </strong><br>You’ll design, implement, and improve our data governance platform, including metadata, lineage, and data definitions. You will actively populate and maintain governance artifacts, leveraging modern tooling and AI-assisted solutions to reflect the current state of our platform.<br><strong> <br>Support client implementations: </strong><br>Act as a subject matter expert in data governance during client implementations and discovery phases. You’ll help ensure data structures and flows are scalable, transparent, and well-governed, while engaging directly with clients on topics such as data lineage, lifecycle management, and data quality. <br><br><strong>Contribute to our data platform: </strong><br>As part of the Data team, you’ll contribute to the development of our data lake, expanding data products, and unlocking new data sources. You’ll help deliver high-quality, near real-time data while maintaining consistency across the platform. <br><br><strong>Strengthen data modeling and stewardship: </strong><br>You’ll facilitate data stewardship practices, identify and resolve data modeling challenges, and improve data ownership, definitions, and consistency across teams. <br><br><strong>Collaborate on internal data initiatives</strong>: <br>Work closely with cross-functional teams on key initiatives such as business key standardization, code table harmonization, data modeling governance, and API design consistency.
