The Sub-Acute Licensed Vocational Nurse performs a variety of skilled nursing duties under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians. This role is responsible for supporting patient care plans, administering treatments and medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Assist with examinations, procedures, and therapeutic interventions. Perform basic IV management when appropriately certified. Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes in status. Utilize aseptic techniques for wound care, dressings, and other clinical procedures. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Patient Comfort & Support Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures. Provide compassionate care while preserving dignity, privacy, and independence. Foster a safe and clean patient environment. Support infection prevention practices and HIPAA compliance. Documentation & Monitoring Accurately obtain and record vital signs and patient observations. Document treatments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with organizational standards. Assist with specimen collection, patient transportation, and positioning. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
