About this role
Your missionAs a Lead Frontend Engineer (m/f/d), you will be a key driver in shaping and evolving our web platform in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. You are comfortable working across architecture, hands-on development, and the continuous improvement of our applications, with a strong focus on quality, scalability, performance, and user experience. At the intersection of Frontend Engineering, Backend, Product, and Platform, you will take technical ownership of key areas of our web platform. You will build high-performance, scalable, and user-centric solutions, actively shape our frontend architecture, and ensure sustainable technical decisions. In this role, you will act as a technical leader and trusted sparring partner within the team. You challenge existing solutions, contribute ideas proactively, and help drive architecture, technology, and quality decisions. At the same time, you remain hands-on and work closely with the team to implement key initiatives. Your tasks:
Frontend Development & Architecture
Develop and maintain the frontend of our web platform using React and TypeScriptContribute to architecture and design decisions for a modular and future-proof platformBuild reusable components, frontend modules, and backend-for-frontend solutionsEvolve our application architecture with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and performanceDevelop and integrate RESTful APIs using Node.js and NestJSWork in an agile team with close collaboration across Product, Backend, and Platform teamsProduct, Quality & AutomationDeliver complex use cases with a strong focus on user experience and consistencyTranslate business and design requirements into sustainable technical solutionsDesign and implement modern testing and quality assurance strategiesConduct code reviews and continuously improve code quality and maintainabilityDrive automation, developer experience, and engineering standardsContinuously optimize frontend performance and overall user experienceAI-Assisted Engineering & InnovationLeverage modern AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions as part of the daily development workflowEnsure the quality, security, and maintainability of AI-assisted software developmentEvaluate new technologies, frameworks, and engineering approachesContribute to our technical roadmap and AI-assisted engineering best practicesTechnical Leadership & CollaborationProvide technical guidance and mentoring to frontend engineers and adjacent teamsHelp define architecture principles, quality standards, and engineering best practicesSupport the team with complex technical challengesFacilitate technical decision-making and collaborate closely with Product Management, Backend Engineering, and Platform teams
