Are you an experienced and compassionate complementary therapist looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference?
We are looking for an empathetic, highly skilled and dedicated Senior Complementary Therapist to join our supportive, community focused team. You will play an important role in providing personalised complementary therapies to individuals living with advanced illness, as well as supporting their families and carers.

Main duties of the job
Work in accordance with the associated Complementary Therapy guidelines and relevant professional standards framework.
Manage referrals and assess, plan, deliver and evaluate tailored complementary therapy treatments for patients with advanced illness and their carers, taking account of their physical and psychological needs.
Champion the core values of palliative care for patients, families and carers, while promoting equitable access to complementary therapy services.
Lead and support volunteer Complementary Therapists, ensuring referrals are handled promptly and accurate, contemporaneous records are maintained.
Build effective working relationships across the multidisciplinary team, liaising with colleagues as appropriate.
Recognise and respond sensitively to the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of patients and those close to them.
Uphold professional standards of conduct and behaviour, including compliance with uniform requirements.

We are ellenor. Your local hospice charity. Our specialised services extend to adults and children across Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Bexley.
For adults, we offer a range of essential services including an Inpatient Ward and Community Services made up of Hospice @ Home and Care Home Support. We also provide Wellbeing and Therapeutic Services, designed to address peoples physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
For children and young adults, we provide specialised hospice care within the community, including end of life care, clinical nursing and oncology support in their own home, as well as respite and wellbeing services. Our full range of services is available for children, young people and their families living in Gravesend, Dartford and Swanley. We also provide childrens respite and wellbeing services within Bexley.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
A recognised diploma-level qualification in one or more complementary therapies. Relevant post-qualification experience. Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as the CNHC or FHT. Evidence of continuing professional development. Ability to provide at least two complementary therapies, such as massage, aromatherapy or reflexology.
