Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator / Ward Receptionist Apprentice to join our busy team at the Children's Hospital for Wales. This role will provide valuable experience in a healthcare setting, will support the smooth running of the service and help to deliver a high-quality service to patients. Key responsibilities include: Answering telephone queries, receiving patients, relatives and visitors to the department, and co-ordinate online patient documentation through computerised patient management systems. We are looking for someone who: Is organised and reliable, with good attention to detail Has strong communication skills and a professional manner Is keen to learn and develop within an NHS environment Can work effectively as part of a team This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing key administrative skills within a supportive team.
This post is fixed term for 15 months from start date due to apprenticeship contract.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for co-ordinating administrative tasks relating to the operational running of the Children's Ward. Answering telephone queries, receiving patients, relatives and visitors to the department, and co-ordinate online patient documentation through computerised patient management systems.
To attend regular review meetings with the supervisor and assessor, leading to an Apprenticeship Qualification in Digital Skills for Business Level 2.
