An exciting opportunity has become available within the Education Centre at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust to join our welcoming and supportive reception team.
We are seeking two enthusiastic, motivated individuals to provide a professional, high-quality reception service. As the first point of contact for staff, colleagues, and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional experience within the Education Centre.
The position is for 12.5 hours per week, based at Solihull Hospital
The role will require flexibility to provide cover across sites when needed.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support to users of the Education Centre. You will work closely with colleagues, service users and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre and the delivery of a high-quality customer-focused service.
Main duties of the job
Acting as a key point of contact, you will liaise with staff, learners, visitors and external organisations, offering professional support and guidance as required.
You will be responsible for welcoming and assisting visitors to the Education Centre, creating a positive first impression through a courteous, approachable and professional manner. You will ensure that enquiries are dealt with efficiently and directed to the appropriate individual or department when necessary.
The role will involve managing a range of administrative duties, including responding to telephone calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries. Additional duties will also include recording and relaying messages accurately, maintaining electronic records, processing bookings for training rooms and educational events and supporting the organisation and coordination of meetings, teaching sessions and other educational activities.
You may also be required to assist with the preparation of training materials, attendance records & basic troubleshooting of IT/AV equipment support the effective running of the Education Centre.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. You will contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and promoting the values of UHB at all times.

Qualifications Essential
*Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4 *Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
Experience Essential
*Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience *Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook) *Experience of using IT systems
