Job summary
Walker Medical Group is looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and experienced team for 4 - 6 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job
Deliver safe, effective and patient-centred General Practice services. Assess, diagnose and manage acute and long-term conditions. Undertake clinical administration including results, correspondence, referrals and prescriptions. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician. Participate in the practice on-call rota, proportionate to sessions worked.Triage SystmConnect requests; arranging face to face/telephone consultations or signposting patients to appropriate services. Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and practice development.

Job description Job responsibilities
Provide safe, effective, and patient centred care through face to face, telephone and appropriate home consultations.Assess, diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.Prescribe safely in line with local and national guidance and practice policies.Refer appropriately to secondary care and other healthcare professionals.Maintain accurate clinical records and appropriate coding using SystmOne.Participate in on-call duties, clinical rotas, and multidisciplinary working.Provide health promotion, preventative care and long term condition management.Support safeguarding, enhanced services, QOF, clinical audit and quality improvement activities.Complete clinical administration, including referrals, prescriptions, reports, and correspondence in a timely manner.Maintain confidentiality and comply with information governance, data protection and GMC requirements.Participate in daily team meetings for coffee and debrief.Ensure CPD, appraisal and revalidation are up to date.Contribute positively to the practice team and undertake other duties appropriate to the role.
