Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Specialist Grade in Radiology with aninterest in Breast and/or Gynaecological Imaging to join andstrengthen our established and highly regarded Radiology team. Thisis an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive departmentwhere collaboration, innovation, and service development are activelyencouraged.
This 12-month fixed term post will expand the medicalstaffing establishment in Radiology to 14, further enhancing theresilience and expertise of the service. Multidisciplinary collaborationis a key strength of the service and plays a central role in deliveringhigh-quality patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate experience indiagnostic and interventional Breast and/or Gynaecological Imaging,including reporting across plain film, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Therole also includes undertaking ultrasound-guided breast interventions.
Additional subspecialty reporting skills, such as paediatric radiology,GI, GU and neuroradiology, would be welcomed.
The successful candidate will also provide support to GeneralRadiology services, including participation in on-call and acuteimaging work, ensuring the continued delivery of safe and effectivepatient care.

On GMC's Register FRCR
Desirable
Appropriate Radiology Fellowship Advanced or further degrees CCT at interview date or undertaking/submitted CESR
Experience Essential
Experience in General Radiology such on call, acute CT, CT staging studies Appropriate sub-specialist experience in Breast and/or Gynaecological Radiology for example mammograms,US guided biopsies, MRI pelvis Confident with Information Technology
Desirable
Knowledge of a wide range of educational methods Managerial skills Experience in Breast intervention, including jook wire localisation, marker clip placement, MAGSEED placement Breast MRI reporting
Training Essential
In General Radiology (CT, MR, US, Plain Films, Fluoroscopy) with experience in sub-specialist training in Breast and/or Gynaecological Radiology
