Job summary
A permanent vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for an Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will perform duties within the Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.
The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
Applicants should meet the essential qualifications and registration requirements for an Audiologist position.
Main duties of the job
The role will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.
There will be responsibility to train and supervise other clinical staff where appropriate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications Essential
BSC Audiology or BSc plus BAAT Part I&II, or equivalent Registered with RCCP, AHCS, HCPC CS, or working towards registration with HCPC as Clinical Scientist
Experience Essential
Recent experience of assessment of communication needs including hearing status Recent experience in adult hearing aid fitting and verification
Skills Essential
Good communication skills Basic computer skills Teamwork skills
Desirable
Welsh speaker Some database experience More advanced IT skills
Knowledge Essential
Must be competent in all aspects of Audiology applicable to the post
Personal Atributes Essential
