About this role

Education - Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering Experience - 8 + years of hands-on experience in automotive EMC testing, EMC laboratory operations. Job Responsibilities Independently plan and execute component- and vehicle-level EMC/EMI testing as per applicable automotive standards and internal requirements. Perform EMI/EMC, ESD, transient, EFT, surge, BCI, conducted and radiated emissions/immunity testing. Set up, operate and maintain EMC laboratory equipment including EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, antennas, LISNs, RF amplifiers, current probes, ESD and transient generators, oscilloscopes and RF equipment. Prepare test setups, verify test conditions, maintain test configuration, and generate accurate test reports and records. Perform first-level EMC failure analysis and troubleshooting, and coordinate with design/validation teams for corrective actions. Support EMC certification/homologation activities and coordinate with external test laboratories. Own day-to-day EMC laboratory operations, including equipment availability, calibration, verification, maintenance, inventory, 5S, ESD and laboratory safety. Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, work instructions, calibration/ traceability records and test records. Support and participate in ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL activities, audits and closure of observations/non-conformities. Coordinate with design, validation and project teams to ensure timely completion of EMC validation activities. Drive continuous improvement in EMC test methodology, laboratory capability and processes with minimum supervision. Technical/ Functional Domain Strong understanding of EMC fundamentals, test methodologies and automotive EMC requirements. Hands-on experience with automotive EMC standards including CISPR 25, CISPR 12, ECE R10, AIS-004, ISO 11452, ISO 11451, ISO 7637, ISO 10605 and ISO 16750. Good understanding of EMC test setups, harness/cable routing, grounding/bonding, DUT operating modes, monitoring requirements and test configuration control. Hands-on experience in EMC troubleshooting, failure analysis and corrective-action support. Good understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems including inverter/MCU, DC-DC converter, OBC, BMS, battery and vehicle communication systems. Hands-on experience with EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, antennas, LISNs, RF amplifiers, signal generators, power meters, field probes, directional couplers, current injection probes, oscilloscopes, DMMs and transient/ESD generators. Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL laboratory accreditation requirements, including calibration, measurement traceability, equipment verification/intermediate checks and laboratory quality documentation. Ability to independently execute EMC tests, maintain test discipline and documentation discipline, and ensure laboratory safety. Working knowledge of BAT-EMC and/or R&S ELEKTRA is preferred.
