Education - Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering . Experience - 8 + years Job Responsibilities Handle product failure analysis, investigation and root-cause identification for electronic control units. Plan and execute testing, measurements and diagnostic activities to reproduce failures and identify root causes. Manage failed-part identification, traceability, movement and disposition from failure identification through analysis and closure. Coordinate and monitor failed-part rework, repair and retesting as per approved procedures. Coordinate with design, manufacturing, testing, quality and suppliers for failure investigation and corrective actions. Conduct vendor/supplier audits to assess product quality, process controls, testing practices and corrective-action effectiveness. Review failure data and identify failure trends and improvement opportunities. Support preparation of failure analysis reports, test reports and RCA/8D reports. Drive continuous improvement in product reliability, failure containment and quality performance. Technical / Functional Domain Strong understanding of failure analysis, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for automotive products. Good understanding of automotive electrical/electronic systems including inverter/MCU, DC-DC converter, OBC, BMS, battery and vehicle communication systems and their testing. Experience in failure reproduction, measurement and technical diagnosis. Ability to analyze test data, failure trends and quality data and convert findings into actionable improvements. Working knowledge of RCA methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone and 8D. Good understanding of supplier quality processes, process audits and corrective-action follow-up. Good documentation and reporting skills, with strong attention to data accuracy and traceability. Working knowledge of automotive quality systems and relevant quality standards preferred Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic testing and measurement equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, CAN tools and other diagnostic equipment.
