We do what we say.® http://www.dayzim.com Job Summary The Security Chief develops, administers, and executes industrial and physical security programs for Hawthorne Army Depot. This position maintains DoD-directed security compliance programs, key and badging controls, security procedures, investigations, and assigned Security staff to support protection of personnel, property, facilities, and classified information. Position may require security clearance, consistent with contract requirements and government approval. U.S. or Naturalized citizenship is required. This position is located on site in Hawthorne, NV Responsibilities Partner with the Security Services Manager and Director, Support Services to develop Security division policies, goals, and budget inputs. Ensure security programs and assigned activities comply with Company policies, contract requirements, and applicable government requirements. 20% Provide and maintain auditable key control and badging systems for the Depot. Maintain effective liaison with local law enforcement agencies and other security stakeholders to support site protection and response readiness. 20% Prepare and maintain plans, manuals, standing operating procedures, standing guard orders, and Depot Protection Plan materials. Ensure procedures support compliance with Government security requirements and safeguarding of classified information. 20% Develop procedures for prompt investigation and reporting of vehicle accidents, disturbances, and security incidents. Supervise procedures for locks and security devices used to protect buildings, facilities, personnel, and property. 20% Supervise assigned Security staff, including work direction, performance input, staffing recommendations, and status-change recommendations. Ensure employees understand security procedures, compliance expectations, safety requirements, and customer service standards. 10% Report potential or known safety, environmental, or security concerns to appropriate personnel and support related corrective action. Maintain high ethical standards and comply with Company values, policies, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct. 10% KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Industrial and physical security program knowledge sufficient to administer site-level security requirements at Hawthorne Army Depot. Regulatory knowledge related to state, federal, DoD, Company, and contract security requirements. Security procedure development capability sufficient to prepare plans, manuals, standing operating procedures, standing guard orders, and Depot Protection Plan materials. Investigation and incident reporting capability sufficient to coordinate reporting for accidents, disturbances, discrepancies, and security incidents. People leadership capability sufficient to supervise assigned Security staff, set priorities, coach performance, and recommend employment-status actions. Systems and documentation capability sufficient to maintain key control, badging, classified information, and related security records. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Equivalent combination of formal education and directly related security experience may be considered for advanced education expectations.. 4+ years of security operations experience, including DoD facility security experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Facility Security Officer certification required or must be obtained and maintained as required by Company and contract requirements. Valid State of Nevada driver’s license and PILB registration/license required or must be obtained and maintained as required. Must be able to secure and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $67200- $100,800. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
