Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities Test Development & Execution Develop and execute validation and verification test plans for mechatronic systems and components. Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, test stands, and automated test equipment. Define test methodologies, procedures, and acceptance criteria based on product requirements and industry standards. Conduct functional, performance, durability, environmental, and reliability testing. Support root cause investigations and failure analysis activities. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze test data, develop technical conclusions, and communicate results through reports and presentations. Product Development Support Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Software, Quality, and Engineering teams. Review product requirements and specifications to ensure testability and validation coverage. Provide technical input during design reviews and risk assessments. Support prototype, pilot, and production validation activities. Laboratory Operations Maintain laboratory equipment, processes, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Compliance & Quality Ensure testing activities comply with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and company procedures. Support DFMEA, PFMEA, Design Verification Plans (DVP&R), and quality documentation. Participate in corrective and preventive action activities. Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 4+ years of experience in product testing, validation, or engineering laboratory environments. Experience testing electromechanical systems, sensors, actuators, motors, or automated equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repetitively and stand for approximately 50% of the workday.
