Title: Senior Web Application Developer-SDS Location: Upper East Side Org Unit: Application Development Work Days: Weekly Hours: 35.00 Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Range: $122,000.00 - $168,500.00 *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices Position Summary Works as a part of the Application Development Group to design, develop and support Enterprise Web Applications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of full stack PHP Development experience, front-end development using latest libraries including React, NodeJS and experience in AWS services. We are looking for a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. Job Responsibilities Responsible for PHP Full Stack Development using Zend Framework. Designs and implements cross-platform mobile application(s) for the enterprise. Builds modern, interactive websites using React, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and UI frameworks, including integration with existing client systems. Maintains, enhances, and develops web/database applications using PHP, SQL, MySQL and other Web authoring tools. Uses modern software engineering IDEs including XCode, Eclipse, etc. Develops mobile applications using industry best practices with focus on performance, quality, scalability and availability. Produces professional technical specifications, software documentation, status updates, report job aids, and other internal/external communications. Creates and maintains interfaces and web services across data sources and applications using API’s, Lambda, etc. Assists with the distribution of native mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. Education Bachelor's Degree Experience Approximately 5+ years of experiencing in PHP Development Full Stack. 3+ years’ experience in front-end development using latest libraries including React, NodeJS, HTML 5, CSS, etc. Approximately 3+ Years’ Experience in DevOps on AWS services; experience building tools and templates that engineers can self-serve to quickly deploy new systems in a safe and scalable manner. Strong experience with Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) architecture. Strong knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks (Zend framework, Drupal). Experience with front-end frameworks such as NodeJS, React, Bootstrap/jQuery/etc. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience with third-party APIs (Facebook, Instagram, Google, Amazon AWS, etc.). Knowledge of iOS SDK performance tools and optimization techniques. Ability to develop RESTful web services, experience with oAuth protocol for authorization. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN. Efficient with SWIFT programming language and XCode IDE. DevOps Engineering experience using AWS, experience in EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, DynamoDB and AWS services. A team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals. Attention to detail, patience and a positive, customer centric attitude. Ability to interact professionally with development peers, business analysts, subject matter experts, team leads, faculty, and upper management, with limited supervision.
