Learning & Development Supervisor Organizational Learning Solutions Unit Leads the strategy, design, delivery, governance, and continuous improvement of corporate and business learning solutions for the organization. The role oversees the Learning Consultants responsible for business-specific learning needs and leads the Corporate Learning Strategy programs, academies, platforms, and experiences. It partners with leaders and key stakeholders to translate capability gaps and business priorities into measurable learning solutions that strengthen employee, leadership, and organizational performance. Reports to the Learning & Development Manager. PORTFOLIO ACCOUNTABILITY Learning consulting and solutions • Corporate Learning Strategy • Corporate academies • New Employee Orientation • LinkedIn Learning • goFLUENT • Middle Management Development Program • Other enterprise learning initiatives assigned to the unit ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy and Portfolio Leadership Lead the integrated corporate and tailored learning portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, cultural frameworks, business needs, and the Learning & Development strategy. Establish annual priorities, roadmaps, service standards, work plans, and success measures for the unit. Identify changes in business priorities, workforce capability needs, and the learning environment, and adjust plans, resources, and processes in an agile manner. Promote a culture of continuous learning and the adoption of modern, accessible, and scalable learning practices. Promote excellence in learning experience ensuring that the learning sessions are both engaging and memorable. Learning Consulting Oversee the Learning Consultants who partner with business units to assess needs, diagnose performance and capability gaps, and determine whether learning is the appropriate intervention. Guide the definition, design, implementation, and evaluation of tailored learning plans for approved business projects. Assess and Analyze performance and development needs, define if it is a learning issue, provide potential initiatives, and present high-level findings and recommendations. Lead and provide guidance on the design, development, and measurement of learning programs that improve the performance of the employees and teams. Ensure project plans are aligned with client expectations and clearly define scope, methodology, learning outcomes, key performance indicators, timeline, logistics, budget, resources, roles, and governance. Provide consultation and escalation support for complex requests, competing priorities, changes in scope, and difficult stakeholder situations. Monitor execution quality and ensure results, insights, risks, and recommendations are communicated to clients and management. Corporate Learning Programs and Platforms Lead the organization’s corporate learning portfolio by identifying, prioritizing, and integrating critical skill-building opportunities that address current business needs while preparing the workforce for future challenges. Continuously assess market trends, industry best practices, emerging capabilities, workforce data, and organizational priorities to ensure the learning curriculum remains relevant, forward-looking, and aligned with the skills required to drive business performance, innovation, leadership effectiveness, and long-term organizational success. Oversee New Employee Orientation to support a consistent and engaging onboarding learning experience. Oversee the Leadership Development initiatives and other leadership development experiences assigned to the unit. Manage the learning strategy, promotion, adoption, vendor relationship, service quality, and performance reporting for learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning and goFLUENT. Learning Design, Delivery, and Evaluation Ensure learning solutions apply adult learning, instructional design, accessibility, and learner experience principles. Guide the design and development of instructor-led, virtual, digital, blended, social, simulation-based, performance support, and other learning solutions. Ensure participant materials, facilitator guides, job aids, exercises, assessments, and related resources are accurate, practical, and fit for purpose. Establish appropriate evaluation plans and measures to assess learner reaction, learning, application, program effectiveness, adoption, and business-relevant outcomes when feasible. Review learning data and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, demonstrate value, and drive continuous improvement. Facilitate learning activities or executive learning conversations as required. Stakeholder, Vendor, and Operational Management Build strategic partnerships with senior leaders, HR partners, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other enabling teams. Communicate portfolio availability, capacity, progress, decisions, dependencies, risks, and outcomes in a clear and timely manner. Manage relationships with external providers and monitor that contracted services, deliverables, service levels, and agreed outcomes are achieved. Oversee learning delivery administration through the corporate Learning Management System and related processes, in alignment with centralized standards. Prepare and present periodic dashboards, portfolio updates, and key performance indicators for management and stakeholders. Ensure learning records, documentation, processes, and operations comply with applicable organizational policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. Manage the budget for corporate and tailored learning initiatives, monitoring expenditures, forecasting funding needs, evaluating investment decisions, and identifying opportunities to maximize learning impact while maintaining fiscal discipline and consider opportunities for cost efficiency. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise Learning Consultants and other assigned employees in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Translate strategy into unit goals, action plans, priorities, work assignments, schedules, and clear performance expectations. Coach, develop, and provide ongoing feedback to employees, building consulting, instructional design, project management, facilitation, measurement, and stakeholder management capabilities. Monitor workload, capacity, quality, timelines, and results; remove barriers; resolve issues; and rebalance resources as priorities change. Foster accountability, collaboration, inclusion, constructive dialogue, service excellence, and continuous improvement within the team. Conduct team meetings, delegate responsibilities, communicate policies and procedural changes, and ensure consistent execution across the portfolio. Identify succession and development needs and create opportunities that strengthen team capability and readiness. Minimum Qualifications Education Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience. Experience Minimum of three years of relevant experience in learning and development, capability building, leadership development, internal consulting, process improvement, organizational development, or a related field. Demonstrated experience leading people, teams, projects, or workstreams and coordinating multiple priorities and stakeholders. Experience assessing learning needs and designing, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating learning solutions. Experience managing corporate programs, academies, digital learning platforms, vendors, budgets, or enterprise learning operations is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Capability Learning Strategy & Consulting: Ability to connect organizational priorities and performance needs with practical learning strategies and solutions. Instructional Design: Strong knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, facilitation, learning transfer, and evaluation principles across multiple modalities. People Leadership: Ability to set direction, coach and develop others, delegate effectively, manage performance, and foster an accountable and collaborative team environment. Portfolio & Project Management: Ability to manage multiple programs and projects, define priorities, control scope, allocate resources, monitor budgets, mitigate risks, and deliver quality results on schedule. Stakeholder Management: Strong consulting, influence, negotiation, presentation, conflict management, and relationship-building skills at multiple organizational levels. Data & Measurement: Ability to define meaningful indicators, analyze qualitative and quantitative information, develop executive-ready reports, and use insights to improve decisions. Technology: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and familiarity with Learning Management Systems, virtual learning tools, e-learning authoring solutions, digital learning platforms, and emerging learning technologies. Communication: Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills in English and Spanish. Business & Operational Acumen: Knowledge of budget administration, resource allocation, vendor management, policies, controls, and regulated business environments. Adaptability & Judgment: Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, make sound decisions, and adjust plans as business needs evolve. Other Requirements Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication with employees, leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders in Puerto Rico and across the organization.
