What You'll Do Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, and procedures Ensure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout, managing costs, and maximizing profitability Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project Resolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specification Review constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunities Prepare project reports for management and customers Prepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriately QC Plan when requested, including specific responsibilities and procedures Negotiate pricing as needed and provide creative solutions to solve problems, ensuring project is completed efficiently and effectively Travel safely to and from project sites as needed Act as a liaison between customer and internal departments including sales, detailing, operations, superintendents, shop, etc. Provide 3 week look ahead schedules – provided weekly What You'll Need Minimum 5 years experience with managing large construction projects Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint Ability to review and interpret contract documents for advanced projects Your Education Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related project management experience, preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
