Job Summary: Responsible for development and implementation of strategic path for electronic component suppliers in coordination with the Global Strategic Sourcing Manager of e-Components as well as the Director of Strategic Sourcing for North America - this includes supplier selection and management, supplier costing through quoting and negotiation support, supplier management through Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, budget and cost down management/tracking/forecasting. Primary Responsabilities: • Drive cost improvements and supply stability through proven negotiation techniques. Concentration on e-Components such as Microcontrollers, Memory, Modems, etc are required. • Manage all aspects of product costing including quoting, cost analysis, forecasting of spend and savings as required. • Support annual price negotiations through preparation, cost analsysis, historical trending, recommended product targets for reduction and negotiation. • Utilize the e-Sourcing tool for quoting and bid analysis and prepare sourcing recommendations back to the Global Procurement organization in support of the North American business. • Reduce product costs through leveraging of existing Global Procurement activities. • Ensure that new product introductions (NPI) are supported and that timely, accurate information is shared with the project teams based on current project situation. • Ensure corporate objectives for contract compliance with suppliers are met and manage suppliers at a NA basis to those contracts. • Develop strong supplier performance/relationships and maintain those relationships through quarterly busines review processes as appropriate. • Support any supplier escalations for supply, quality, support, safety or other required. • Evaluate current processes, make recommendations, and implement improvements to close gaps. • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (MBA a plus) with 5+ years in experience within a procurement organization. Manufacturing knowledge is desired. Experience in sourcing and managing electronic component suppliers or a similar electronics field. International sourcing experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of target markets and ability to translate that knowledge into strategic plans and actions as it relates to products and services procured. • Demonstrated results in cost management and cost reduction activities. • Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with all levels of the organization • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan strategically over a 1-2 year period. • Ability to recognize potential issues and take proactive measures to resolve. • Must have the ability to understand legal and risk mitigation development. • Proficient in Microsoft Office package. • Experience in an e-sourcing environment and SAP preferred. • Bi-lingual preferred, Mandarin a plus. • Strong organizational skills and capability of managing multiple projects. • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
