What you'll be doing: As a Training & Development Placement Student within the People Function at Müller, you’ll support the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours that enable colleagues to perform safely, confidently and effectively. Working closely with the Training Team, HR colleagues and site leadership teams, you’ll help coordinate training activity, maintain compliance records, support capability frameworks and contribute to a positive learning culture across our manufacturing sites. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience within a People Function, supporting learning, compliance and capability development across a fast-paced manufacturing business. You’ll build skills in communication, stakeholder management, data reporting, project support and learning design, while seeing how effective training helps colleagues and teams perform at their best. Key tasks & responsibilities include: Support Training Initiatives: Coordinate and document training for site teams (e.g., SOPs, safety, hygiene), update training materials, and gather feedback through on-the-job observations. Capability and Continuous Improvement Support: Support the development of training frameworks, skills matrices and learning resources that help improve colleague capability, compliance and operational performance. Content Development & Digitisation : Create digital learning modules and visual guides, making technical procedures easy to understand and ensuring consistency in training. Data & Reporting : Maintain accurate training records for compliance, analyse training effectiveness, and prepare dashboards or summaries for site reviews. Collaborative Projects : Work with other placement students on group projects to build teamwork and problem-solving skills. What we're looking for: This role is ideal for proactive students who are passionate about learning, people development, communication and helping others build confidence and capability in the workplace. Müller is looking for university students (on track for a 2:1 or above) seeking a placement year. Exceptional Communication Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with teams at all levels, from operators to senior management Self-Starter Attitude : Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities and challenges can change rapidly Problem-Solving Ability : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to anticipate issues and deliver innovative solutions Operational Excellence Knowledge : A basic understanding and interest in operational excellence principles Education : Studying towards a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, Learning & Development, Education, Organisational Development, or a related subject. UK Driving Licence : Must hold a full UK driving license for at least one year UK Residency : Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
