As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing advanced automotive solutions, working closely with customers, suppliers, and global engineering teams from concept to production. Who are you? You are an innovative minded engineer, who excel in understanding mechatronic systems working in automotive environments, including mechanical, electronic and software components. You combine the technical competence and the team spirit which makes you drive problem solving as a team effort. Based on facts and physics, you drive a constructive communication with the customer to reach agreement on technical scope, documentation expectations, and compliance with customer specific standards. The candidate should show a strong ability to turn the customer agreements into executable actions for our engineering team and further towards our supplier network. Your main tasks • Manage requirement handling along the complete development cycle • Develop the system concept in collaboration with sub-system owners • Manage customer expectations and approval required to proceed • Organize the task with the different team members and align deliverable with the project manager • Review technical concept in collaboration with the product owner • Participate in activities required by processes and standards according to the development process • Maintain close collaboration with sub-contractors, suppliers and internal teams located around the globe • Maintain and share knowledge throughout project team and skills We are looking for you who have: • Higher technical education (Bachelor / Master) in mechatronic, electronic and/or software and relevant experiences in product development • Knowledge of automotive systems (transmission and powertrain, actuation, chassis) • Interest in automotive innovation including electric powertrain, autonomous driving, vehicle safety • Goal oriented, structured, and independent, while open and team focus • Good collaboration skills, and ability to build and maintain relationships • Communication skills in English and at least one more European language You are looking for: • Opportunity to work internationally on future vehicle components • Learning and collaborate with knowledgeable and experienced colleagues • A modern environment which value creativity and initiative • A place to grow and develop • Competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for professional and personal development Position is based in Kongsberg, Norway technical center.
