For more information visit: www.romcim.ro, www.elpreco.ro , www.ferrobeton.ro , www.baulemente.ro , www.tehnoworld.ro JOB SUMMARY / JOB MISSION As a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets & General Accounting , you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of fixed assets across Romcim entities, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance with international accounting standards, and strong internal controls. You will play a key role in financial reporting, period-end closings, audit support, and continuous process improvement, contributing to the overall integrity and transparency of our financial operations. The role combines ownership of fixed assets accounting with recurring general accounting and operational period-end closing activities. RESPONSIBILITIES Record fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, impairments, and revaluations in SAP. Manage capitalization and asset commissioning for projects and assets under construction (AUC). Calculate, review, and post monthly depreciation and amortization. Reconcile the fixed asset sub-ledger with the general ledger and investigate variances. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date fixed asset register. Coordinate and support annual fixed asset inventories, reconcile inventory results with accounting records, investigate variances and prepare the relevant accounting entries for adjustments, disposals or write-offs. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to fixed assets. Process assigned recurring accounting transactions, including bank statements and payment requests, in accordance with established procedures, approval flows and deadlines. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with RO GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, internal accounting policies, and SOX requirements. Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits. Collaborate closely with Controlling, Project, and Operations teams to ensure proper asset tracking. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within fixed asset accounting and reporting. Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and improve accounting processes, controls and data quality. Perform assigned recurring general accounting and period-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up of open items. Respond to ad-hoc requests from the Record to Report Lead. COMPETENCY PROFILE University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields. Minimum 3 years of experience in fixed assets accounting and general ledger activities. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (RO GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP). Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems . Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance is an advantage. Fluency in English and Romanian (written and spoken). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
