Job Overview: Technology at LPL Financial enables advisors to focus on their clients by delivering reliable, scalable platforms and data capabilities across the enterprise. Within the Reference Data organization, the Product, Security & Pricing SOR (System of Record) team builds and maintains foundational data services that support product, security, and pricing use cases across the firm. The AVP, Scrum Master II partners with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and Release Train Engineer (RTE) to help one or more agile delivery teams plan, execute, and improve within the SAFe model. This role sits in Technology and is accountable for team flow, transparency, and predictable delivery — not for owning the technical solution itself. You will coach the team through PI (Planning Interval) and iteration cadence, keep Jira and Confluence accurate as the source of truth, surface risks and dependencies early, and produce the reporting leaders and partners need to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitates and drives the team through the agile ceremonies –foster a Lean-Agile leadership including (PI Planning at the team level, Iteration Planning, Standup, Retro, Inspect and Adapt Workshop, Iteration Review and Demo) • Release Planning and Execution • Ensure agreement and transparency across team including up to the RTE • Ensure JIRA is accurate and updated as required per Iteration • Capacity planning • Performs PI Planning prep & execution for the team • Ensures weekly, monthly and iteration reports are produced as required/requested for the team • Progress of PI Objectives • Commit to Complete Ratio (not all teams are at the level of maturity) Velocity • Backlog Revisions (meet definition of ready?) and Health (this is a product metric that some Scrum Masters review to ensure they have work planned for future iterations) • Manages Risk/Impediment Resolution, Reporting and Escalation to RTE and Tech/Product Accountable • Dependency Management - Able to document, track & follow-up on dependencies
Key Metrics:
• User story burndown and sprint progress • Story points committed vs. completed (velocity and commit-to-complete ratio) • Points carried forward and rolling say/do average (where applicable) • PI Objective progress • Backlog health and definition-of-ready indicators • Impediment age and resolution rate • Dependency status and aging

Requirements:
• 4 year college degree, preferably in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or related technical field • 7+ years of experience managing up to two or more teams • 7+ years experience and deep understanding of and ability to manage Project and Software Development Life Cycle(s) using Agile methodologies • 2+ years experience working with offshore teams
Core Competencies:
• Comfortable exercising judgment and using analytical skills in ambiguous situations • Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive in seeking out information when necessary • Experience monitoring and managing vendor performance • Experience managing requirement solution workshops • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Aha!, Confluence or similar tools
Preferences:
• SAFe or other Agile certification • Experience in financial services • Experience supporting data engineering, platform, or enterprise reference data teams • Experience with PI Planning, ART-level coordination, and enterprise agile calendar/sprint alignment
Pay Range: $112,682.00 - $187,872.00 Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
