Deine Rolle: Im Rahmen deines Praktikums unterstützt du unser Team bei der Durchführung numerischer Strömungssimulationen zur Optimierung kritischer Prozesse in der Entwicklungsphase. Dabei arbeitest du mit der Simulationssoftware STAR-CCM+ und übernimmst Aufgaben entlang der gesamten Simulationskette – von der Erstellung und Aufbereitung von 3D-CAD-Geometrien über das Meshing bis hin zur Durchführung und Auswertung von Simulationen. Du untersuchst Strömungs- und Wärmeübertragungsvorgänge sowie Phänomene des Phasenwechsels. Darüber hinaus führst du Sensitivitätsanalysen durch und leitest daraus Optimierungspotenziale für relevante Prozesse und Komponenten ab. Auf diese Weise erhälst du einen umfassenden Einblick in die Anwendung von CFD-Simulationen in der technischen Produkt- und Prozessentwicklung. Wer du bist: • Du studierst ein ingenieurwissenschaftliches Fach und strebst einen Masterabschluss in Maschinenbau, Verfahrenstechnik, Chemieingenieurwesen, Strömungsmechanik oder einem vergleichbaren Fachgebiet an • Abgeschlossene Lehrveranstaltungen in Strömungsmechanik und Wärmeübertragung • Interesse an numerischen Simulationsmethoden und der Entwicklung technischer Prozesse • Du verfügst bereits über Erfahrung mit CFD-Software; Kenntnisse in Star-CCM+ sind von Vorteil • Kenntnisse zu Phasenübergangsphänomenen und Vertrautheit mit Mehrphasenströmungen • Strukturierte, analytische und selbstständige Arbeitsweise • Hohe Eigeninitiative, Lernbereitschaft und Begeisterung für die Bearbeitung komplexer technischer Fragestellungen • Sicherer Umgang mit gängigen MS-Office-Anwendungen und grundlegende Scripting-Kenntnisse
