Position Summary • The nurse manager practices in the framework of the mission, vision and values of ECU Health and maintains 24-hour accountability for unit operations. • The manager is a clinical leader with focus on producing excellent patient outcomes, patient and family engagement, workforce management/ development and clinical efficiency. • The nurse manager is the front line leader who partners with physicians and manages staff and resources to promote safe, timely, efficient, effective and patient focused unit operations. Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree in Nursing or higher -or- Associate's Degree in Nursing plus five to seven years of related experience required. Three to four years related experience Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.
