Job Title: Construction LaborerJob DescriptionThis role supports construction projects by performing a wide range of general labor tasks, including demolition, loading and unloading materials, digging, and site clean-up to keep daily operations running smoothly. You help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while supporting the overall project, with a strong emphasis on general site cleaning. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime discussed based on project needs.Responsibilities
• Perform general construction labor tasks such as demolition, material handling, digging, and site clean-up to support daily operations. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized construction site through regular general cleaning and debris removal. • Load and unload tools, equipment, and construction materials safely and efficiently. • Operate hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer instructions. • Assist with concrete work, basic carpentry, and other trade-related tasks under direction from site leadership. • Support plumbing, electrical, and HVAC activities as needed, following guidance from qualified personnel. • Use equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and scaffolding safely when authorized and trained. • Measure, cut, and assemble materials using tape measures, hammers, saws, and other tools. • Follow all safety rules and procedures, including OSHA guidelines and site-specific safety requirements. • Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. • Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks on schedule. • Identify and report potential hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to appropriate personnel. • Adapt to changing job assignments and project needs while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Essential Skills
• 3+ years of experience working as a general laborer in a commercial or large residential construction environment. • Proficiency with general construction labor tasks, including demolition, loading and unloading, digging, and site clean-up. • Ability to safely use hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, and saws. • Ability to safely use power tools and small machinery commonly used on construction sites. • Experience working with concrete and basic carpentry tasks. • Ability to speak and act knowledgeably about safety precautions in a construction environment. • Familiarity with field concepts, practices, and procedures in construction. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction projects. • Reliable transportation to and from work. • Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including experience check, drug screening, physical capacity profile, and E-Verify. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• OSHA 10 certification. • Experience operating forklifts in a construction setting. • Experience using scissor lifts and working on scaffolding. • Exposure to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work on construction projects. • Comfort working near moving mechanical parts and at heights when required. • Strong awareness of construction site safety practices and procedures.
