About this role

Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate assembles and tests electronic products by following detailed work instructions, drawings, and production schedules. This role works both at the bench and on the shop floor, using hand tools and machinery to build, package, and label products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. Responsibilities • Read work orders, drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions to assemble products accurately. • Assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions. • Execute assembly builds in a timely manner in line with the production schedule. • Work at a bench and on the shop floor to assemble electronic assemblies. • Collect required parts from inventory to complete assigned builds. • Receive and follow verbal instructions on the priority of orders. • Set up daily work based on the production schedule or verbal direction. • Use hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches, to assemble products. • Operate relevant production and machine equipment as needed for assembly. • Work at different workstations and cross-train to support other departments as required. • Package finished products according to boxing and work instructions or verbal directions. • Label all products and assemblies and complete associated paperwork accurately. • Perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and contribute to overall facility upkeep. • Adhere to all safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection standards. • Participate in product assembly training sessions, team activities, SQCDMM initiatives, and continuous improvement processes. • Support the companys vision, mission, strategy, and values through daily work. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of assembly experience. • At least 1 year of production experience. • Hands-on experience with hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches. • Experience with machine operation and machine operating in a production environment. • Familiarity with SMT (surface-mount technology) machines or similar production equipment. • Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows. • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining quality standards. • Ability to follow blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions accurately. • Comfort working with electronic assemblies and related components. • Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, and quality checks. • Commitment to following safety and ESD protection standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in an electronics manufacturing or assembly environment. • Ability to cross-train and work in multiple departments or workstations. • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support team goals and initiatives. • Comfort working with structured processes such as SQCDMM and other performance or quality frameworks. Dress is appropriate for a manufacturing and electronics production setting, with any required safety or ESD-related attire used as needed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
