About this role

Job Title: Assembler Job DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling rubber hose products in a production environment, using hand and power tools to connect fittings and components. You will support the full process from assembly and inspection through painting, packaging, and preparing finished hoses for shipment, while maintaining high quality and safety standards.Responsibilities

• Assemble rubber hoses by installing and securing fittings and connecting multiple components using hand and power tools. • Attach metal tags to finished parts to ensure proper identification and traceability for shipping. • Perform visual inspections and basic dimensional checks to support quality control of assembled hoses and components. • Spray paint parts as needed, following established procedures and safety guidelines. • Wrap, bundle, and package hoses after testing so they are properly prepared and protected for shipment. • Use tape measures, hand tools, and power tools accurately to ensure correct dimensions and secure assemblies. • Handle general production and labor tasks as needed to support overall workflow in the hose assembly department. • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures in an open-air shop environment. • Lift and move materials and finished products, up to 50 lbs, throughout the shift. • Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet daily production goals. Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Proven mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components. • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for basic measurements. • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand on your feet for the entire shift. • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in assembly and inspection. • Experience with general labor, production, or mechanical assembly tasks. • Ability to perform basic packaging and inventory-related tasks as part of the production process. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. • Any prior quality control or inspection experience is preferred. • Experience with mechanical assembly, general production, packaging, and inventory is beneficial. • Comfort working with spray painting equipment in a production environment. • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays and flexible hours as production demands require. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays as needed, for a typical workday of 8 to 10 hours. The role is physically active, requiring you to stand for most of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle hoses, fittings, and tools throughout the day. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and spray painting equipment while working in a production-oriented environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
