Job Title: Production Control Specialist2nd shift pay up to 36 per hour Job DescriptionThis role supports production control by coordinating closely with manufacturing, production, supply chain, and inventory teams to ensure materials and work orders flow smoothly through the value chain. The Production Control Specialist develops and maintains reporting, manages work orders, and monitors part movements to enable on-time delivery and efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, supply chain, and inventory teams to align production control activities and ensure smooth cross-functional coordination. • Work closely with production managers to ensure completion of all metrics-driven action items and follow up on any outstanding requirements. • Develop, maintain, and refine reports that highlight production needs, deliverables, constraints, and status updates for internal stakeholders and customers. • Support internal logistics processes by designing and implementing efficient workflow staging methods to improve material flow and reduce bottlenecks. • Support assigned production cells with work order management, including creation, release, tracking, updating, and closure of work orders as required. • Monitor and track part movements throughout the production flow to ensure timely delivery to the next step in the value chain. • Use ERP, MRP, and MES systems to plan, schedule, and control production activities and inventory levels. • Assist with production planning, material planning, and scheduling to meet customer demand and internal capacity constraints. • Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance investigation. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on production control, logistics, and material handling to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to identify issues impacting production flow and work proactively to resolve them. • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide status updates and address issues related to materials, work orders, and production schedules. Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, shipping, or logistics environment. • Hands-on experience with MRP, ERP, or MES systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or equivalent platforms. • Proficiency with ERP systems for production control and inventory management. • Experience with production planning, material planning, and planning and scheduling activities. • Strong understanding of inventory control practices, including cycle counts and material handling. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, analysis, and communication. • Strong interpersonal and soft skills, with the ability to lead and improve processes in a cross-functional environment. • Ability to monitor and track part movements and work orders through the production flow. • Experience supporting logistics and internal material flow in a manufacturing setting. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment with multiple priorities. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• APICS knowledge or exposure to APICS-related concepts in production and inventory control. • Experience using NetSuite or Oracle specifically for production control, inventory, or logistics. • Process improvement within manufacturing, logistics, or production environments. • Familiarity with MES systems and their use in monitoring and controlling shop floor activities. • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and scheduling. • Comfort working with data-driven metrics and performance indicators to drive actions and improvements. • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, and inventory management. Candidates must be open to working either day shift or night shift. The primary schedules include a 1st shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a 2nd shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with a shift differential for the second shift. The environment leverages ERP, MRP, and MES technologies alongside standard office tools to manage production, inventory, and logistics. The facility supports structured workflows and material handling processes, with a focus on safety, comfort, and efficiency. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marietta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
