Job Title: Millwork SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Countertop Fabrication Technician to craft custom laminate and solid surface countertops. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in carpentry, cabinet shop work, woodworking, construction, or manufacturing who are adept with tools, blueprints, and measurements. Responsibilities • Cut materials to specified sizes. • Assemble countertop components. • Install end caps. • Perform quality inspections and repair minor imperfections. • Utilize power tools and polishing equipment to finish products according to customer specifications. • Read and interpret work instructions and blueprints accurately. • Use a tape measure with precision. • Regularly lift materials up to 75 pounds. • Work efficiently in a production environment with machinery and power tools. Essential Skills • Proficiency in reading a tape measure accurately. • Experience using hand and power tools. • Good communication skills. • High attention to detail. • Basic computer proficiency. • Ability to read work instructions and blueprints. • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Preferred experience in carpentry. • Experience in cabinet shop work. • Background in millwork. • Experience in countertop fabrication. • Construction experience. • Skills in polishing and finishing. • Forklift experience. • High school diploma or GED. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an indoor manufacturing and fabrication facility with a fast-paced production setting. You will work around power tools, production equipment, and overhead cranes, standing and walking for most of your shift. The environment requires frequent bending, lifting, and handling materials, with regular lifting of materials up to 75 lbs. Noise levels are moderate to high, and the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots is mandatory. The facility promotes a team-oriented production environment focused on quality and safety. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
