1st Shift Material Handerl/Sit down Forklift experience requored6am-2:30pm Job DescriptionThe Material Handler (Warehouse Laborer) supports efficient warehouse operations by safely handling, storing, and shipping products, with a focus on plastic sheeting. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, and a clean, safe work environment while operating warehouse equipment and following established procedures.Responsibilities

• Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments to ensure all products meet quality and quantity requirements. • Organize, label, and store materials in designated locations to maintain accurate inventory and efficient warehouse flow. • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications and company standards. • Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move materials and load or unload trucks. • Handle plastic sheeting and related materials carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality. • Maintain accurate inventory counts using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and complete cycle counts as needed. • Complete required paperwork and electronic records for inventory, shipping, and receiving activities in a timely and accurate manner. • Palletize, stage, and organize orders and materials for outbound shipments and internal transfers. • Support quality assurance by verifying product labels, quantities, and conditions before storage or shipment. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping standards and safety protocols. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation practices. • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support distribution and manufacturing operations. • Assist with additional warehouse tasks and projects as assigned to support overall operational goals. Essential Skills

• 6 months of warehouse and distribution experience. • 13 years of manufacturing and/or distribution and logistics experience. • 13 years of sit-down forklift operating experience. • 13 years of experience with palletizing, inventory, picking, and/or staging. • 1+ years of experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). • Experience with machine operation in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Experience handling plastic materials and general materials handling. • Experience loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and related equipment. • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly. • Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory and shipment information. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. • Previous warehouse experience preferred. • Forklift operating experience required; formal forklift certification is a plus. • Familiarity with inventory control processes and quality assurance practices. • Experience with picking and packing orders in a distribution or logistics environment. • Comfort working with plastic sheeting and related materials. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. • Reliability and punctuality in adhering to assigned shifts and schedules. • Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments. • Willingness to work voluntary overtime when needed. • Flexibility to work different shifts (1st or 2nd) as business needs require. The role involves both inside and outside work, handling materials and plastic sheeting in a warehouse and distribution setting. You will operate equipment such as sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks and use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer tools for inventory tasks. The schedule follows a MondayFriday structure, with first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work as part of a collaborative team focused on safety, cleanliness, and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kutztown, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
