This Mechanical Assembler opportunity offers a chance to develop valuable fabrication and brazing skills while working on custom-built mechanical systems in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.Every project is different, giving you exposure to mechanical assembly, copper pipe fitting, brazing, blueprint reading, fabrication, and testing. What You'll Be Doing
• Assemble custom mechanical units and refrigeration rack systems from start to finish. • Cut, measure, and fit copper piping and insulation using hand tools and tape measures. • Perform brazing with an oxyacetylene torch to connect copper piping. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. • Build and install unit housings according to customer specifications. • Work with a small team to complete complex assemblies in a fast-paced production environment. • Assist with fabrication projects, including MIG welding opportunities when applicable. • Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures. • Experience reading a tape measure accurately. • Familiarity with hand and power tools. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics. • Brazing, welding, plumbing, or fabrication experience is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and reliability. • Ability to stay active throughout the day, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and moving between workstations. Work Environment You'll work in a large manufacturing facility alongside a team of skilled assemblers building custom units from the ground up. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and focused on quality craftsmanship. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
