Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThis role involves supporting the service and new construction of modular units using a variety of hand and power tools. You will perform general labor tasks such as framing, drywall hanging, painting, and material handling while following strict safety procedures. The position requires regular bending, twisting, and limited lifting, with a buddy lift system in place for heavier items.Responsibilities
• Assist in the service and new construction of modular units using hand and power tools. • Perform general construction and carpentry tasks, including framing, drywall hanging, and painting. • Use power tools such as drills safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks. • Handle materials and equipment, including lifting items up to approximately 3540 lbs, and use the buddy lift system for heavier loads. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the shop environment. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of construction experience. • Experience in general labor within a construction or renovation environment. • Framing experience. • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including drills. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a shop environment focused on the construction of modular units. The standard schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the possibility of more than 10 hours of overtime per week depending on workload. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Edmonton, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
