Senior Test Engineer We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead system verification, reliability validation, and test strategy development for complex robotic and electro-mechanical systems. This role is responsible for ensuring product performance, reliability, and quality through rigorous testing, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on test engineering expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience driving test programs from development through deployment.Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute system- and subsystem-level test strategies, plans, and validation activities. • Define test methods and acceptance criteria based on product and system requirements. • Lead functional, performance, stress, endurance, and reliability testing. • Design and execute accelerated life testing and apply reliability methodologies such as DFMEA, FTA, HALT/HASS, and DOE. • Analyze test data, identify failure modes, and drive corrective actions and design improvements. • Support development of automated test systems, test infrastructure, and standardized testing processes. • Document test procedures, results, and technical recommendations. • Collaborate with Systems, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality teams throughout product development. • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in testing, validation, and problem-solving. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. • 8+ years of experience in test engineering, validation, or systems verification. • Experience testing complex electro-mechanical, electrical, embedded, or robotic systems. • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and accelerated testing methods. • Demonstrated ability to lead test programs independently and drive execution to completion. Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Engineering. • Experience in robotics, automation, industrial equipment, or autonomous systems. • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or JMP. • Experience with HIL, SiL, simulation, endurance testing, and performance characterization. • Programming experience supporting test automation (Python, C#, VB.NET, or similar). • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or DFSS methodologies. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden Valley, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
